GURU PEYARCHI OR TRANSIT OF GURU
The Planet Jupiter (Guru) stays in one Rasi for about one year. When it transits from one Rasi to another this is called Guru Peyarchi. Guru shifted from Meena Rasi to Mesha Rasi on 8th May 2011 and is expected to remain there till May 2012. Following will be the general effect of Guru Peyarchi for people belonging to various Janma Rasis. Please note that in the horoscope, the rasi where Chandra is located is the Janma Rasi.
MESHA RASI
The rasi people will face the effects of Janma Guru which will not be very favourable. They may be subjected to transfer or change of place/residence etc., they may have to undertake new business, if promotion comes about – it will be accompanied by troubles. If the Guru is favourable in Horoscope, the present transit will be somewhat neutral, but if the Guru is unfavourable, the negative effects will be increase.
Some health related problems are seen. People in the age group around 45 years may go for a complete health check up. Those not covered by any official medical facilities may opt for Medical insurance.
It is better to avoid any sort of wasteful argument with spouse, especially after November 2011. In all important family matters, it is advisable to consult the spouse.
RISHABH RASI
For Rishabh Rasi people, Guru will be in the twelfth house. There will be general increase in expenses, unexpected expenses, unnecessary worry, fears etc. It is advisable not to fall into any debt trap. Credit card holders, think twice before swiping. Try to avoid any fresh loans. Equally important is to see that you do not stand financial and character guarantee to any persons. Some loss in business for business people and arguments/fights with superiors for employed people are also seen. If the Janma Lagna is Rishabh or Tula, the efforts will be all the more negative.
As a practical remedy, avoid making new friends, avoid taking any fresh loans, avoid unnecessary fights on legal matters as chances of court cases are also looming large.
MITHUN RASI
For Mithun Rasi people, the period will be fairly good. Guru has entered the Labha Sthan. There will be increase in respect, promotion, fame etc. Defeat of enemies is seen and financial gain is also seen. Favourable transfers will come about. For business people, there is bound to be gains. For retired people, some religious Yatra is also on the cards. New ventures can be started, provided the overall planetary positions in the horoscope are favourable.
There will be respite from long standing chronic ailments, if any, and medication will start yielding good effects. During this period, listening to good Bhajans in the mornings will be beneficial.
KARKA RASI
For unemployed people, there are chances of landing a good job. The period will be somewhat so-so. For business people some losses are indicated, some hindrances to their ventures, labour problems, problems from administration etc. The period after November 2011 will bring in unnecessary mental and physical worries, loss of fame and wasteful expenditure.
It is advisable to stick to the routine work and not to start any venture where clearance from Administration is a problem. As far as possible, change of job should be avoided.
SIMHA RASI
The period will be very good for Simha Rasi people. Some promotion will come about (if due), favourable transfer, recognition for the good work done, success in work, mental alertness will increase. People who are participating in competitions will see success come their way. Success in interviews, religious yatras, darshan of intellectuals or Gurus are indicated.
Employees or businessmen in middle age group are advised to start fresh savings in long term instruments. Purchase of gold for long term investment will be beneficial.
KANYA RASI
For Kanya Rasi people, the transit of Guru will be most troublesome as it will be the eighth house from Janma Rasi. Besides, they are also facing the peak period of Saade Saati or Ezharai Shani. They may face problems if disciplinary action in office, some may even lose the job. Some demotion is also seen. Unnecessary litigation, problems to health, hospitalization, wasteful and tiresome travels, labour problems are looming large.
Try to avoid fresh loans and do not stand guarantee in respect of anyone. Hide the credit card deep inside your almirah, to be taken out only after one year.
TULA RASI
Guru is coming to the seventh house viz. Kalatra Sthanam. If there are no extremely adverse planetary position, this period should be excellent for all round happiness in family, relationship with spouse will be good. For girls seeking marriage, this is an excellent time. Prosperity in business and happy family life is indicated. For young and energetic people, there will be opportunities galore. Increased income and increase in self respect is clearly seen.
Investments made in form of jewelry for wives will yield long term prosperity. Mutual trust will develop in respect of married couples.
Some care need to be taken after Mid November 2011 in respect of forming new friendships and making fresh investments. From this time, Shani will enter Tula Rasi, which will be middle period of Ezharai Shani.
VRISCHIKA RASI
For Vrischika Rasi people, Guru would have entered the 6th house. If Guru’s position is powerful in the horoscope, there will victory over enemies in court cases or elections etc. There will be success in competitions. If Guru is of average or below average strength, there will be troubles on account of enemies, bad health, new diseases, debts etc. Increased medical expenses, unexpected travels and resultant expenditures are seen. The negative problems will increase after November 2011.
DHANUR RASI
Guru will be in the fifth rasi (poorva punya sthanam). The period will see association with good people, birth of children (for concerned people), blessings of the administration, general happiness, prosperity on account of children, adequate income. Even if there is increase in expenses, there will be increased income.
All the good factors will increase after November 2011. There will be overall happiness. New ventures can be thought of.
MAKARA RASI
There will be general loss of confidence, feeling of mutual mistrust among friends problems on account of mother (old age, ill health etc.). Mind will tend to waver and wander. Increased expenses on account of vehicles, houses and landed property. For people over 65, some health concerns are seen.
Some unexpected offers for people in agency line/middlemen are seen. They may get some offers after November 2011.
KUMBHA RASI
Strained relations with near and close relatives (especially brothers), troubles in office and professional front, bad dreams, obstacles in any work, sudden transfer in jobs, differences of opinion with superiors, defamation, character loss and other such problems.
For Kumbha rasi people, Shani is in eighth house and this compounded with guru in 3rd house will play havor. If the Dasa/Apahara time is bad, they may even have to face stringent punishment in office front or with administration. They may get fined or penalized for disobeying the law like wrong driving etc.
It is, therefore, extremely important that these people avoid unnecessary fights or arguments in the office or professional life, avoid rash driving, they should obey all the rules of the land.
Some respite is seen after November 2011.
MEENA RASI
There will be inflow of wealth, happiness with family members, promotion, winning over enemies. There will be good occasions and enjoyments in the house, name and fame. Recovery of lost money is also on the cards.
There will be improvement in health conditions, excellence in education and people may generally enjoy good food. Girls/Women who are fond of cooking, will learn and increase their culinary knowledge and please the family members will newer dishes etc.
There will be a slight reduction in the good things after November 2011 when Shani will enter the eighth house which will be called Ashtama Shani.

There are 12 rashis in the Zodiac, Mesha, Rishabh, Mithun, Karka, Simha, Kanya, Tula, Vrishchika, Dhanu, Makara, Kumbha and Meena and 9 planets Surya, Chandra, Mangal (Chovva/Kuja), Budha, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu.
SEVEN AND HALF YEARS SHANI OR SAADE SAATHI
EZHARAI NATTU SHANI (TAMIL)
EZHARA SHANI (MALAYALAM)
Planet Shani stays in one Rashi for 30 months (two and half years). The three periods of two and half years starting from the time when Shani enters the 12th Rashi from Janma Rashi (1st two and half years), then when he travels through the Janma Rashi (2nd two and half years) and finally when the remains in the 2nd Rashi from Janma Rashi (3rd two and half years), are collectively known as Seven and Half Years Shani.
Please Note : Janma Rashi is that Rashi where planet Chandra (Moon) is located. Presently Shani is in Kanya Rashi and will move to Tula Rashi in November 2011. So, the following Rashi people will be affected as under :

Next to Ashtama Shani, people fear Ezhara Shani most. Normally, people face three periods of Ezhara Shani in their lives. If a child faces this period, say in his 5th or 6th year, the next period will come around 35th year and the third such period will come during the 65th year.
It is generally believed that the 1st Ezhara Shani will give some troubles to health, 2nd Ezhara Shani will do some good (lift the person up) and 3rd Ezhara Shani will cause destruction. However, we should not apply the results in a theoretical manner here. Other factors viz. position of other planets, Dasa etc. will have to be considered.
FIRST PART OF EZHARA SHANI (SHANI IN 12TH FROM CHANDRA)
This period will see wasteful and unwanted expenditure, lot of confusions in the family and professional fields, lack of sleep, lack of religious beliefs, troubles to legs and general unhappiness.
SECOND (MIDDLE) PART OF EZHARA SHANI (SHANI IN JANMA RASHI) ALSO KNOWN AS JANMA SHANI
Severe health problems, danger due to fire, accidents, risks due to weapons or even ordinary implements, expenses on these counts. Many persons may get involved in unnecessary litigation, wasteful expenditure and tiresome travels. Some persons may have to shoulder additional responsibilities and burdens which do not belong to them. There will be victimization in office front.
THIRD PART OF EZHARA SHANI (SHANI IN 2ND FROM JANMA RASHI)
Reduced income levels, lots of expenses, differences within family members, unnecessary quarrels with relatives and family persons, problems to eyes, defamation, enmity with neighbours, break in studies (failures), unable to keep up one’s promise. During this period, at times, persons may be made to suffer for some one else’s mistakes.
PLEASE NOTE :For persons of Kanya Rashi, the period from May 2011 to May 2012 will be extremely troublesome because around this time, apart from Ezhara Shani, Guru will be in 8th house (Ashtama Guru).
The above effects are general and may not apply to all. The effects of Ezhara Shani may be of greater or lesser magnitude depending on the position of various planets in the horoscope.
Further, if a person has Shani in a very good position in the horoscope with all friendly features etc., the period governed by Ezhara Shani may pass off somewhat smoothly and vice versa.
REMEDIES (PRACTICAL)
a) During this time, it is advisable not to form any friendship with unknown persons.
b) Avoid unnecessary arguments. If at all a debate is called for, be polite in putting forward your points.
c) People in the age group of 40-45 may be advised to go for a general check up.
d) Avoid any fresh borrowings during this period. It is important not to stand any character or financial guarantee in respect of any.
e) Avoid any speculative or rash investment. Gambling is strict no-no.
f) Be practical in facing life and events. It is advisable to have some elderly person in the vicinity for necessary advice/guidance.
REMEDIES (SPIRITUAL)
a) On all Saturdays visit any temple with Navagraha Idols. Perform 21 Pradakshinams (Pheris) of the idols and light one lamp with til oil in front of Shani Idol. While performing the Pradakshinams recite the following shlokas/mantras :

b) Also pray at Lord Hanuman Temple on all Saturdays and recite Hanuman Chalisa. In addition to it, keep on Hanuman Chalisa booklet always in the pocket or hand bag or brief case.
c) If there are other serious afflictions in the horoscope, it is advisable to perform some special pooja in Shani dedicated temples like Shani Shingnapur (Maharashtra) or Tirunallar Shani Temple (Karaikal near Kumbakonam-T.N.).
d) When Saturday conjoins Pradosham, perform Rudra Abhishekam in any famous Shiva Temple.
By performing the above rituals, people with such afflictions will get enough strength to ward off all evil effects.
